Security Heightened in Mumbai Over Alleged Terrorist Threat on 14 February

Reports from India on Tuesday, 12 February, indicated that the police in Mumbai are on high alert after they received information that six alleged terrorists have entered the city and are reportedly planning major attacks on 14 February. According to the police, targeted areas include Juhu Chowpatty and Bandra Bandstand, which are considered popular hangouts in the western part of the city. Additional security has been deployed at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM), major railway stations as well as other public and tourist places in the city.
