Travel Advisory: Flying to or from Thailand

27 October 2011

CATHAY Pacific has issued a Travel Advisory: Flying to or from Thailand.

The airline says heavy rain is affecting parts of Thailand and may cause flooding in and around Bangkok. Although flights to and from Bangkok are operating normally, the situation could change rapidly. The airline is monitoring the situation closely and will issue the necessary updates should there be a need to do so.

Meanwhile passengers are advised to check their flight status before departing for the airport and to enter their contact detail in the ‘Manage Booking’ section on the airline’s website to ensure that they receive the latest updates via SMS or email.

Customers with scheduled flights to and from Bangkok between October 25 and November 2 are advised to refer to the airline’s ‘Special Ticketing Guidelines’.

The guidelines state that, with immediate effect, rebooking charges will be waived for all tickets issued worldwide (irrespective of fare type) on or before October 25 for travel on Cathay Pacific with a confirmed booking involving Bangkok between October 25 and November 2 .
