Terrorism - The security situation in Mosul, the capital of Ninewa province, has deteriorated significantly following the seizure of the city by extremists on 10 June. The airport in Mosul is closed. Australians in Mosul should seek to depart immediately if it is safe to do so. Due to the very challenging security environment we are unable to provide assistance to Australians to depart Mosul.
