Europe: Storms to halt travel across

A storm tracking through the United Kingdom will bring showers and thunderstorms to the British Isles through tomorrow morning, according to AccuWeather. Travel delays should be anticipated as a result.

Numerous showers are expected across Ireland and the United Kingdom today, with scattered thunderstorms across England. Conditions will begin to improve tonight in the south; however, a soaking rain will develop across Scotland and continue through midday tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a separate storm will track eastward from France into Italy igniting thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall throughout tomorrow. This will cause travel delays and elevate the threat for flash flooding.

Showers are also expected across northern France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Netherlands.
