US - DELTA FLIGHTS GROUNDED DUE TO SYSTEM OUTAGE

Delta Airlines says all flights are grounded due to a “system outage” nationwide. The company confirmed the issue on its Twitter account. According to NBC News, the issue affects thousands of passengers globally. The company has told several customers via Twitter that it hopes to have the issue resolved soon, although it’s unclear what caused the issue. Due to a computer outage, flights awaiting departure are currently delayed. Flights enroute are operating normally. Delta is the largest carrier out of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Long lines have already formed at the Delta counter at the Ford Airport. As of 5:30 a.m. only one Delta flight departing out of the Ford Airport to Minneapolis was reading “delayed” on the flight board.
