Gatwick passengers warned of industrial action

Air passengers are being warned to leave extra time to travel to Gatwick today, tomorrow and Friday due to a rail strike, TravelMole reports.

There will be no Southern trains to Gatwick on the strike days and the Gatwick Express service between the airport and London Victoria will be reduced from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes.

No Gatwick Express trains will run between 22h00 and 05h00 on strike days, however, Thameslink services will operate to the airport overnight.

There will also be no Gatwick Express service between the airport and Brighton.

Further industrial action by drivers and guards on Southern trains is planned for January 24, 25 and 27.
