Hong Kong: Air pollution alert
Hong Kong is experiencing serious air pollution today, with levels near the city’s airport exceeding the maximum in the government’s air quality health index, Hong Kong Free Press says.
People, particularly children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems, have been advised to avoid any strenuous outdoor activities.
The smog is expected to remain until late tomorrow, when weekend rain should help to clear the air.
Flights may be disrupted due to low visibility and travellers are advised to check for any changes in advance.
