Thunderstorms in Germany could delay flights
Thu, 20 Jul 2017

Severe thunderstorms and rain in Germany could possibly delay travel on Thursday, July 20.

Heavy storms have been developing throughout the east of the country since the start of the week.
“Flash flooding will be the greatest threat from these storms,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Tyler Roys.
“I am particularly worried about areas from near Hamburg to Berlin,” adds Tyler.
A spokesperson for Lufthansa says the airline has not yet been notified of any cancellations or delays due to the possible extreme weather conditions.
“Lufthansa recommends all passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport,” the spokesperson adds.
SAA spokesperson, Tlali Tlali, says SAA flights to Germany have not yet been cancelled as a result of adverse weather.

We will update this story as it progresses.
