TRAVEL ADVICE FROM AUSTRALIAN DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE

29 December 2017

BOLIVIA

Current Advice Level: "High degree of caution"

Recent on-going strikes by medical professionals have reduced services in Bolivia's public and private hospitals, with many pharmacies also closing their doors or limiting operating hours. Some medical providers remain open to provide emergency services only on a limited basis. Non-emergency, elective, and deferrable medical services have been greatly reduced during the strike. Demonstrations supporting the strike may occur. Ensure you have sufficient medication while travelling. The level of our advice has not changed.

FRANCE

Strikes are planned at several airports and on some public transport systems over the December 2017 - January 2018 holiday period. Contact your travel provider for up-to-date information. The level of our advice has not changed.

PAKISTAN

Terrorist attacks can occur anywhere at any time in Pakistan. Exercise heightened caution. Avoid public gatherings, crowded places, places of worship and locations frequented by foreigners. Follow local advice, and monitor the media for developments that may affect your safety and security. The level of our advice has not changed.
