Travellers safe despite state of emergency - gov

The Maldives has entered a State of Emergency for the next 15 days following a statement from the Presidency on February 5.

There will be no curfew, and general movements, services and businesses will not be affected.

he Government of Maldives says the safety of all Maldivians and foreigners living in and visiting the Maldives is assured.
