Iberia Strikes

23 January 2012

Iberia pilots, represented by the SEPLA union, have announced further strikes in protest at the company’s plans to create Iberia Express, a low-cost carrier.

Pilots have announced their intention to strike on January 25, 27 and 30.

Meanwhile the airline’s ground workers and cabin crew have also announced possible strike action.

At the moment, the airline is proceeding to cancel flights and looking for alternatives for each customer who had a reservation on these flights. Reservations on the flights affected by the strike might suffer modifications in the following hours.
