China: Deadly storm hits Southern China
A storm which killed dozens of people in the Philippines is now moving across Southern China, according to the BBC.
Two people have died in the Guangdong province, with over 2.5 million people evacuated from the province and from Hainan Island. In Hong Kong, the storm damaged buildings and shut down parts of the city, with transport services suspended, trains stopped, major roads closed, and over 900 flights cancelled.
The typhoon is expected to hit Guizhou, Chongqing, and Yunnan as it moves inland, but is expected to weaken into a tropical depression by Tuesday, September 18.
