Take note of Bangkok protest areas

13 Fri, Dec 2013

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has urged travellers to be aware of certain areas in Bangkok where anti-government riots are occurring.

“The demonstrators’ main stages are at Phitsanulok Road and Nang Lerng Junction near Government House and Democracy Monument on Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue,” TAT says.
TAT adds that they are peaceful demonstrations that are contained within one area of the city’s government quarter.
It has urged tourists to be vigilant and avoid areas where crowds may gather. Tourist attractions and transport around the city remain open and operational.
