Gambia: FCO tells travellers to avoid Banjul
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has once again updated its advice to Gambia.
The FCO now advises against all travel to the city of Banjul. This is because the area on Banjul Island around State House is considered a potential flashpoint in the event of a military intervention.
The FCO now advises against all but essential travel to Gambia as a whole (including Banjul airport) due to ongoing political uncertainty.
